Finecure Pharmaceuticals: Powering a Greener Future with a 360 kW Rooftop Solar Plant

Finecure Pharmaceuticals, a leader in sustainable manufacturing, has taken a significant step toward energy independence by commissioning a 360 kW rooftop solar power plant at its facility in Sanand, Ahmedabad. Designed and installed by Natura Eco Energy, this project provides a reliable, cost-effective alternative to traditional grid electricity, aligning with the company's commitment to environmental stewardship.

The pharmaceutical industry requires a consistent energy supply. The new solar plant addresses this need directly, ensuring stable operations and predictable energy costs while reducing the company's carbon footprint.

Project Overview and Implementation:

The project's success is a result of meticulous engineering and strategic planning. A key challenge was assessing the rooftop's structural integrity to support the solar panels. Natura Eco Energy addressed this with targeted structural reinforcement and used advanced software to optimize panel placement, ensuring a seamless and safe integration with the facility's complex electrical systems.

The plant's capacity is achieved with a 540 Wp capacity solar panels, mounted on a durable, hot-dip galvanized MS structure with a protective micron coating.

Impressive Performance and Environmental Impact:

The plant has already demonstrated a strong performance, generating a total of 273,787 kWh in its six months of operation in 2025. This translates to an estimated 547,574 kWh of clean electricity annually, significantly offsetting the company's grid dependency.

Based on this generation, the environmental benefits are substantial:

• CO2 Reduction: The project is expected to save approximately 449 tons of CO? annually.

• Equivalent Trees Saved: This CO2 reduction is equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting 7,484 trees.

• Coal Saved: It has also saved an estimated 141,547.88 kg of coal in its first six months.

Maintenance and Services:

To ensure consistent performance, the plant benefits from a comprehensive maintenance schedule, including regular panel cleaning every 15 days and quarterly preventive maintenance for the inverter room. These activities have helped improve the plant's performance ratio by reducing dust losses and increasing daily energy generation.

Natura Eco Energy's service includes a fast-response AMC, remote monitoring, and monthly performance reports, ensuring the plant operates at peak efficiency. This commitment to ongoing support solidifies Finecure Pharmaceuticals' investment in a sustainable and resilient future.
